Bethany Ranes, Ph.D.

Dr. Bethany Ranes has been with MissionQuest for over 15 years, serving as Head of Research and Analytics where she brings exceptional expertise in program design, research, and strategic oversight for program evaluation and federal grant seeking. A translational neuroscientist with nearly 20 years of experience, she has developed neuroscience applications that optimize mind-body health and performance, collaborating with organizations like the U.S. Army, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, and UnitedHealth Group. Recently, she has consulted for startups and larger organizations to launch innovative products. 

Known for her engaging teaching style, Dr. Ranes makes complex science accessible to diverse audiences through her blog and social media project, Firing and Wiring, as well as being widely published and respected in the areas of addiction treatment, cognition, and traumatic brain injury. She also has extensive experience designing and implementing evaluation studies across government, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors. Dr. Ranes holds a Ph.D. in forensic psychology, with a focus on public policy and law.
