A second-generation immigrant and grassroots organizer, Cynthia Suero-Gabler is dedicated to advancing civil rights, civic advocacy, diversity, and economic opportunity in underserved communities. She currently serves as Principal Diversity & Economic Opportunity Representative for Los Angeles Metro. With over 14 years in public service, she has supported elected officials and appointees in local and state government across Southern California.

A champion for social justice, Cynthia led a major campaign in San Diego’s District 4, advocating for the city to correct its 25-year broken promise to the Bay Terrace community. Her efforts resulted in securing $5.5M in CDBG and HUD grants and held the city accountable for completing the Bay Terrace Community & Senior Center. The city’s first Zero Net Energy facility opened on July 30, 2021. Cynthia holds an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Literature from National University. She is also a graduate of the RISE San Diego & USD SOLES Urban Leadership Fellows Program and the San Diego Regional Chamber’s LEAD San Diego Impact Program.
